We are Writers’ Guild.

Guild is one of RJ’s two writing-centric CCAs. Writing is the very core of our existence.

And because of that, you may be thinking to yourself: this CCA preview is going to be a literary masterpiece. It’s going to be poetic and persuasive, or at the very least it will blow me away with elegant words and pretty pictures.

But today, dear reader, this author is not going to attempt to woo you with elegant words and pretty pictures. Today, this author swears to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about Guild.

CCA Previews ’19: Swimming

The Raffles Swim Team consists of disciplined and courageous Rafflesians willing to give their all to fulfil their full potential in the water. While many students are fast asleep there are many days where swimmers wake up at 4:45am and plunge into the cold waters at 5:30am to squeeze in a training session before school. But we are not done for the day. After a long, tiring day of school, we head back into the pool for yet another training session before heading home to hit the books. This is a common daily routine of a swimmer.

CCA Previews ’19: Volleyball

Volleyball is a complex game of simple skills. The ball is spiked from up to 3.65 metres and takes fractions of a second to travel from the spiker to the receiver. Within this time frame, the receiver must decide where to pass the ball in the blink of an eye. Indeed, volleyball is a game of constant motion and players cannot risk missing a second of the game.
