Being a Rafflesian may be a vastly different adventure for different people, but the spark of joy when a classmate asks “Anyone wants something from Chill?”, the anticipation of biting into a freshly-baked waffle, and the glee in comparing waffle flavours with friends are central parts of the RI experience. “Be Real. For Real”- Mental Health Awareness Week 2023

Have you been true to yourself recently? Have you been real?

From 27th July to 4th August, Raffles Peer Helpers (RPH) held their annual Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW). The Peer Helpers made our weeks extremely lively with informative booths about mental health and sweet popcorn distributed to cure Monday blues. Not to mention, the catchy pop music during lunch time (featuring hits from Troye Sivan, Harry Styles and many more), soulful tunes from Raffles Jazz and energetic performances from Raffles Rock during their buskings was the cherry on top.

With a focus on the unique multitude of setbacks COVID-19 had presented to us–his sharing served as the perfect opener, with many Rafflesians relating to the process of picking themselves up from failure or mishap.

CII 2023: Old and New Media — Our Lives

This video is part of the 5th Edition of Cross Island Impressions. CII is a national student paper written by student journalists across Singapore. This year’s edition will comprise publications from teams spanning 8 different schools: DHS, EJC, HCI, NJC, NUSH, RGS, RI, and VJC.
