You are far away from the spotlight, but your battle is no less intense, for the consequences of failure can be so much more severe. A few quick, well-practiced moves serve to securely fasten the bandages around your newest charge, just in time for another goal to be joined by a collective shout of triumph. The first question on everyone’s lips when they see “Raffles Runway” is: do I need to know how to sew? The answer: no—you don’t! (We’ll explain this later.)

Now that that’s (temporarily) out of the way, what is Runway all about? Simply put, we are the school’s fashion design club: we dream up garments in our sleep, comb through endless sources of inspiration and cut, sew, tighten and correct endlessly to bring our ideas to life. The satisfaction that rushes through you after birthing the garment is the best feeling in the world; from that point on, it’s your baby.
