Welcome one, welcome all! We are the Raffles Entrepreneur’s Network, REN for short (often confused with RAM when said out loud). If you’ve seen people wearing these iconic shirts (below):

Of course, there’s more to our CCA than our shirts! Let’s delve further into the adventure that is REN. It’s a whirlwind experience, but if we had to summarise it in three words, it would be this: opportunity, innovation and community.

CCA Previews ’23: Writers’ Guild

Have you ever found yourself intrigued by the various literary techniques and writing styles with which famous authors are able to paint a striking image? Or are you an aspiring writer, hoping to find a safe space where you can share your works with like-minded people?

CCA Previews ’23: Shooting

In any other situation, if you were caught holding up a gun—especially in a school—the police would have been called without hesitation. But here in Raffles Institution’s very own shooting range, no intervention is needed. A heavy wooden sign —blood red—is placed outside the range as a warning. A scarlet flag hangs just beyond the range door. A neon light  flickers on: “Firing in Progress”. Inside, the shooters take up their positions at their respective lanes, as pistolers carefully remove their silver pistols from their cases and riflers put on their stiff suits. At the back of the range stands Coach Li, arms crossed over his chest, watching silently as his students get ready. Soon, the first shot reverberates. Training has begun.

CCA Previews ’23: Raffles One Earth

Thinking about environmental issues may seem at best too broad a topic and at worst impractical to some who may not see the urgency of the issue at hand. As members of Raffles One Earth, we are here to promote a green environment and raise awareness about protecting the environment for both present and  future generations. 

Being part of Raffles One Earth means campaigning together with like-minded members to raise awareness about environmental issues we are passionate about. A typical One Earth member attends a CCA session every Tuesday from 3.45pm to 5.30pm in Computer Lab 3, during which the magic of brainstorming ideas for our Student Initiated Projects (SIPs) and CCA-organised projects occur.

Why should you join us? Well, as a student-led CCA, we choose how the sessions are conducted. Field trips? Sure. Cool practical sessions? Of course! Even theory sessions are packed with engaging videos and fun games.
