In this NSG season, RI’s tennis girls’ team reached the finals again. The arena buzzed with anticipation—student spectators started pouring in before the match started; On one side stood RI, and on the other, ACSI. That afternoon, both schools were going neck to neck for the champion’s title. 

The moment was nothing short of cinematic.

Confronting The Inevitable: Tennis Boys NSG 2025

They didn’t expect to win this year. In fact, speaking to the squad beforehand, defeat seemed almost inevitable to the team. After successfully ending a 9-year-long drought with a win the previous year, the stakes were high once again this year–a chance to defend the title, start a winning streak of our own, and cement RI’s reputation as the winners of a bitter rivalry between two schools.

A Guide to Becoming Champions: Cricket Finals 2025

Victory. A dream that unites all athletes, a goal that spurs them to train harder, play better. For 8 long years, the final trophy has eluded RI’s cricket team. But this year, they’ve brought home the gold. This is how they did it.

Playing Like Underdogs: Softball Boys NSG Finals 2025

One word to describe RI’s softball team? Aura. Staying undefeated for the 4th year in a row? Even more aura. 

The RI Softball boys team were runners-up in the 2018 and 2019 A Division finals until NSG was suspended during Covid. But ever since NSG resumed in 2022, the RI team has been on a win streak, facing rivals EJC. The EJC and RI softball boys have met each other in the A Division Finals every year since 2022, and in this year alone, the finals would be their third time facing them.

Giant Odds, Not So Giant Squad: Basketball Boys’ NSG 2025

They were knocked out in the Preliminary Group Stage last year. 

And the year before that. And the year before that. 

The Raffles Basketball Boys’ Team last won the A Division Championships in 2016, and they had been no favourite to win this year. Being one of the shortest basketball teams in the A Division, they opened their 2025 season on 9 April with a loss against ACSI.
