They say a picture is worth a thousand words; what if a bag were worth a million more? From matching keychains to worn-down files to the random pieces of trash you find at the bottom of your bag, each item becomes uniquely a part of you. They are the things you carry around every day, its familiar load accompanying you through the same steps to and fro school. In it live the memories of daily routines, the weight of responsibilities, and the tiny treasures we never mean to carry—but somehow always do.

Eighteen… And Everything After.

We’ve blown out the birthday candles eighteen times. We’ve cut the cake, sung the same song, made countless silly wishes — but this year feels different. Turning eighteen is supposed to represent adulthood, independence, the beginning of the rest of our lives. But for many of us, it arrives without ceremony, quiet and subtle.

This video article explores what it really means to turn eighteen — legally, psychologically and emotionally — and what it feels like to stand on the edge of something so often romanticised, but seemingly out of grasp. Giant Odds, Not So Giant Squad: Basketball Boys’ NSG 2025

They were knocked out in the Preliminary Group Stage last year. 

And the year before that. And the year before that. 

The Raffles Basketball Boys’ Team last won the A Division Championships in 2016, and they had been no favourite to win this year. Being one of the shortest basketball teams in the A Division, they opened their 2025 season on 9 April with a loss against ACSI.
