Not only will you get a chance to forge deep and meaningful connections with fellow choristers, but you will also be exposed to a wide variety of aural pleasure as we engage in a globally diverse repertoire—diving into various cultures, languages, and even time periods.
Just this year, we were able to explore the emotional and technical nuances of classical choral music, as well as learn about the charming history of local folk music like Rasa Sayang. If learning how to sing in romantic French is your thing, come join us!
Our seasoned, world-renowned conductor will guide you in honing your singing talents, taking you musically to a whole new level. While our practices are irrefutably challenging, they are also incredibly fulfilling given how drastically we improve with each practice.
Not only that, we have amassed a bevy of achievements and accolades. From our streak of Distinctions in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival to obtaining the Gold Award in the 12th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus in 2018, these accomplishments exemplify our never-ending pursuit of musical excellence and ‘magic-making’.
Aside from participating in competitions and performances, Raffles Chorale also organises our yearly student-run charity concert, led by our very own Y5s: Vocal Delights! All members are provided personal growth and leadership development opportunities to plan, organise, and perform!
We present differentiated genres and explore the more contemporary aspects of music which include beatboxing, show tunes, and even a little bit of holiday spirit. It is a great opportunity to further not only your own vocal exposure but also your leadership competencies as well.
