The London School of Economics and Political Science, more commonly known as LSE, is a well-established university in London. While most renowned for its competitive economics and law courses, LSE also offers a variety of higher education courses that range from International Relations to Statistics. However, do note that LSE does not offer natural science courses, so one interested in them would have to venture across town to Imperial instead!

In this article, Raffles Press interviews Kailing, a J3 currently studying her first year of Economics at LSE, to find out more about her experiences so far.

Located on the sunny state of California, Stanford is one of the most prestigious and selective U.S. colleges. Its location boasts beautiful weather and proximity to Silicon Valley, making it especially appealing to hopeful tech entrepreneurs. Hence, it’s not surprising to find out that Stanford’s faculty and alumni include founders of Google, Yahoo!, and Hewlett-Packard, just to name a few. In this article, Press interviews Laura Lee (RJ alumna ’13), a first-year student at Stanford, to find out more about her experiences so far.

Nestled in the picturesque and charming outskirts of Boston, Tufts University is one of the more esteemed universities in America – the 25th best in the nation overall, according to Forbes. In fact, its famous college mascot, Jumbo the Elephant (an actual elephant preserved via taxidermy that was destroyed in a fire in 1975) is the only college mascot with an entry in Webster’s Dictionary. Raffles Press interviewed freshman Ashlynna Ng, who graduated from RI in 2013, to gain some insight about the rich and vibrant student life characteristic of the university.

The MBBS – undoubtedly one of the most popular degree choices amongst Rafflesians (and their parents), as evinced by the scores of students who turn up for career talks conducted by medical professionals. Fortunately for the aspiring doctors within our school, one need not look to foreign lands to gain a quality education in the medical sciences. The National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine can certainly hold a candle to other medical schools throughout the world, for it is currently ranked as the 2nd-best medical school in Asia and the 21st-best worldwide by Quacquarelli Symonds. RJ alumnus Tan Yeong Tze Wilnard, a 4th-year medical student at NUS and the President of the 65th NUS Medical Society’s Executive Committee, shares his thoughts on life in NUS and more in this interview with Raffles Press.
