If this article seems familiar, that’s because it’s a continuation of a previous Rank it! article where we ranked classic, albeit a little conventional, cup noodles. (If you haven’t read it, you can take a look here!) This time, though, we’re doing things with a twist. So, let’s take it from the top one last time. 

Unique cup noodles. The kind that, when we see them on the shelves at FairPrice, we’re all intrigued (and perhaps a little weirded out) by. But we’ve usually turned them away in favour of more familiar flavours, like the Shin Cup Ramen. So for this article, we’ve decided to take a leap of faith: to satisfy our curiosity about these oddball cup noodles—and rank them along the way.

Humbly located at level 2 of Junction 8 is the home to a whole display of sugar-coated dreams. As the Japanese donut brand Mister Donut’s first permanent store in Singapore, when this outlet first opened in 2023, queues often snaked around the whole level — and who can blame these avid donut-enjoyers? From “Chocolate” to “Strawberry Pon De Ring”, Mister Donut holds the promise to a world of bliss once hidden on the faraway shores of Japan. 

But are these donuts really as sweet as they sound, or just another overpriced excuse for fried dough? Follow us as we delve into all 23 flavours Mister Donut, battling food coma, sugar rush, and imminent diabetes to find out which donut comes out on top.

Rank it! Chinese Snacks: A Spicy Sensation

Originating from China, these snacks consist of various bite-sized ingredients, ranging from fish to konjac, marinated in a flavourful, and usually spicy, sauce. The result is a snack both bursting with flavour and unique in texture.
