In light of the ongoing National School Game (NSG) season, a few of our Press members sat down with the captains of Basketball, Dragon Boating, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Fencing and Judo to see what the sport means to them. To test how well they really know their sport, we’ve also asked them several trivia questions on little-known facts about their sports. Get to Know Our New Principal: Mr Aaron Loh

Mr Aaron Loh, the new Principal of Raffles Institution, has been an educator for more than 20 years and was most recently the Divisional Director of Educational Technology in MOE. Mr Loh is an alumni of the school, having been a student from 1988-1991 in RI and from 1992-1993 in RJC. He has obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Cambridge, a Masters in English and American Literature and a second Masters in Learning, Design and Technology from Stanford University.

Playing Next: Soundtrack to My Life in RI

Through this collaborative piece by Raffles Press and Writers’ Guild, the writers have explored a very unique style of writing that combines the strengths of both creative writing and journalism: creative nonfiction. Examining what binds music to our memories of school life thus far, this piece is an ode to friendships, faith, and more. Each track represents a diary-esque ‘slice-of-life’ of each of the writers who have contributed to this piece.
