Here at Raffles Football, we believe that the common quote “Give a man a fish, and you’ll feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you’ll feed him for a lifetime” is incomplete. We believe that it’s missing a little something, and that something is “Give a man a ball and he’ll be eternally happy”… or something along those lines anyway.

Hopefully you’ll be able to tell the kind of CCA we are from the above paragraph. Those of us in Raffles Football are a pretty laidback bunch, but you would never be able to tell if you stopped by our training sessions. With all the shoulder-to-shoulder barges and flying tackles, you might think that you’ve accidentally walked into a rugby training!

Yes, although all of us here in Raffles Football do enjoy the fun of game, we have a deeply-rooted competitive spirit. Every year we strive for excellence in the National ‘A’ Division Football Competition. We’ve consistently managed to reach the quarterfinals in the past few years, even managing to attain the First Runners-Up position in 2013.

Our typical training session starts in the afternoon. We usually start off the session with our customised dynamic warm-up routine, followed by a series of drills and exercises. After that, we have a two-sided game, just to end things off on a high note. We normally have trainings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

In addition to our training sessions in school, our coach also arranges regular friendly matches with other schools to aid in our development. A few of us regularly play outside of school as well.

Joining Raffles Football will help you develop holistically, both as a footballer and as a person. Our coach emphasizes that we train not just to get better at the sport, but also to become better people. Belief, Desire, Teamwork: these 3 are values that every Raffles Footballer keeps close to his heart.
